On August 14th; 2008; President Bush signed into law the strongest consumer protection legislation since the advent of the Consumer Product Safety Commission in 1972. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 introduces sweeping changes to the regulatory framework and enforcement mechanisms of the Consumer Product Safety Commission. A full working knowledge of these changes is necessary in order to effectively advise clients that will undoubtedly have questions concerning these new laws and how they will be affected by them.

This teleconference is aimed at answering these questions and providing clients sound advice regarding the new laws. For those with little experience in this area; the topics covered are not limited to only the recent changes and will also include a brief overview of the CPSC and laws it administers. This teleconference is critical for attorneys already providing advice to clients in the area of consumer products regulation and can provide significant new in-roads for attorneys that represent these types of clients in a different capacity.
