LGBT Ally Development

LGBT Ally Development These days, the word "ally" is thrown around a lot, but what does it mean to be a true ally? This webinar will walk participants through their own and others' assumptions and stereotypes of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and heterosexual people. By doing this work, participants will come to understand that the development of an ally is about constantly recognizing and challenging views about a particular group of people in order to embrace individuality and break the binary.

Questions for this webinar:

  • What does it mean to be an LGBT ally?
  • What are my personal assumptions about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and heterosexual people?
  • What does it mean to be transgender?
  • How can I leave room for those I work with to be themselves?
